Adam Nehr
Photographer

Adam Nehr has been creating photographic art for over 35 years. The first 16 years of his career were devoted to advertising and magazine assignments; resulting in hundreds of magazine covers and over 1000 national publication credits. In 1988, Adam sold his studio in Pennsylvania and changed his specialty to Aerospace photography. His first 5 years were spent as the senior photographer at McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems. When MDMSC sold its Florida operation Adam moved to the position of “Instrumentation Camera Specialist” at the Kennedy Space Center. In his current position, he designs and Builds launch related camera systems and support equipment and shoots both High speed motion and still imaging assignments.

For the past 20 years, Adam has also pursued fine art photography in tandem with his commercial work. Working exclusively in large format black and white, he has created a body of work that has won him critical acclaim.

His fine art images have been published on the cover of Photo Pro and in a special edition of Shutterbug Magazine.  His work has appeared in B&W Magazine and a six-page article about his last project appeared in View Camera Magazine. His work is held in the permanent collection of the International Photography Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, where he is also an invited artist and recently became a board member. In July-August 2004 he had a one-man show at the Hall of Fame. In December 2005 he was honored as Florida artist of the month and given a one man, Founders Gallery show, at the Orlando Museum of Art The subject of these one man exhibits was Adam’s current and very controversial project, “Issues and Icons”.
